Hayes-Watkins’ 9 Polaroids represent points of anchor to a world that either no longer exists or could never have existed given that each image is the product of an antiquated and imperfect image making technology. They are spectral presences imbued with the performative practice that brought them into being. The nature of the project is to respond to the idea of Hayes-Watkins’ Polaroid images not to write a soundtrack for such images.
Project 9:365 was made by Trevor Abbott, Nicholas Buxton, Ben Chatwin, Suki Hayes-Watkins, Alice Lindsay, Leo Neelands, Helen McElroy, Tilly Shiner, Mike Truscott and work-form
